When you have purchased the PADS software you receive a USB dongle and a product key enabling you to activate your PADS licenses.
PADS Professional
For PADS Professional you need to take the following steps to active your licenses:
- Plug the USB dongle into the PADS Server PC.
Some installations won’t require a dongle.
- Run the PADS Professional License Wizard on the PADS Server PC.
The License Wizard can be found in the Windows Start menu under (All) Programs, PADS 3.1 Professional, Tools.
When you afterwards order additional PADS licenses you receive a new product key for this. You can enter this new product key in the same PADS Professional License Wizard to activate your additional licenses.
PADS Standalone
For PADS Standalone you need to take the following steps:
- Plug the USB dongle into your PC.
Some installations won’t require a dongle.
- Run the PADS Standalone License Wizard.
The License Wizard can be found in the Windows Start menu under (All) Programs, PADS 3.1 Standalone, Tools.
NOTE: Starting the PADS 3.1 Standalone Viewer for the very first time will also automatically bring up the license wizard.
