To get the best performance out of PADS Standalone it is important that you use the right hardware. In particular the choice of the video card plays a crucial role.
When you plan to playback 'heavy' content we recommend you to use the following configuration for your PADS Standalone PC:

The minimum requirements for PADS Standalone and recommended requirements for 'light' content are of course significantly lower.
Video card
We advise you to choose a video card that is tier-2 compliant, has a good GPU (Graphical Processing Unit) and at least 256 MB of video memory available.
Operating system
As operating system we recommend Windows 7. This operating system takes full advantage of the capabilities of your video card, resulting into a significantly better performance. As an alternative you can use Windows Vista or Windows XP.
