PADS is well known for its unique and unequalled database connectivity features. With just some simply mouse clicks the system can be connected to any standard database in order to display real-time information.
Every page element you include in your PADS presentations supports database connectivity. With this you can link the content of the element to a field in an existing database. At playback of your presentation it’s dynamically determined by the linked database which content will be shown.
In this way you can determine from a database which commercials will be played at a certain moment, what data is presented by the chart element of PADS or from which TV channel the TV shows are shown. The possibilities are endless.
Through a database connection you can for instance link PADS directly to an existing RSS feed in order to display the latest weather forecasts, traffic information or stock values.
The database connection can also be used to link PADS to an existing Content Management System (CMS). The end users can then use this CMS to put their content on the screen.
