If you want to playback ‘heavy’ content it is important that you use the right hardware to get the best performance. We recommend you to use a PADS Viewer PC with an Intel Core2Duo (2.0 GHz) processor and 2,048 MB memory.
In particular the choice of the video card plays a crucial role. We advise you to choose a video card that is tier-2 compliant, has a good GPU (Graphical Processing Unit) and at least 256 MB of video memory available.
As operating system for a PADS Viewer PC we recommend Windows 7. This operating system takes full advantage of the capabilities of your video card, resulting in a significantly better performance. As an alternative you can use Windows Vista, Windows XP or Windows XP Embedded.
